Welcome to D T Quilts!

This blog will chronicle my quilting experiences. I have been sewing since my grandmother taught me to as a child. I loved it even then. I began quilting in 2004 to make a quilt of my daughter's school uniforms. Check out the Lauren's Sacred Heart Quilt page. I fell in love with quilting and have not stopped since. I belong to several great quilt guilds. Happy Quilting!

Easy Street is Done!

Easy Street is done!  I finished it yesterday.  Here it is.
Too big for me to hold up by myself for a picture.  I added borders which you couldn't see in the picture above..
Love the name Easy Street and since I live in the Big Easy (New Orleans) I used as many New Orleans prints as I could- fleur de lis, jazz cats, music notes, Mardi Gras crowns, etc. as you can see in this picture.

So glad this one is done!  It is a big one.  It measures 100 X 100!

  1. It's just beautiful, and I love your choice of borders. Your black and white fabrics are great; I've never seen anything like them here in the Midwest. I fell behind after step 2, but I think I have the rest of the quilt all cut so now I just need to sew. Great finish!!!!

  4. Very nice! I've been contemplating the same border colours, so it's good to see it in real life.
