Welcome to D T Quilts!

This blog will chronicle my quilting experiences. I have been sewing since my grandmother taught me to as a child. I loved it even then. I began quilting in 2004 to make a quilt of my daughter's school uniforms. Check out the Lauren's Sacred Heart Quilt page. I fell in love with quilting and have not stopped since. I belong to several great quilt guilds. Happy Quilting!

Charity Sew Day- Quilts of Valor

The Stitchy Fingers Quilt Guild had a charity sew day last Saturday.  This year we made quilts of valor quilt tops.  About 12 of us sewed and we ended up with 17 quilts.  We tried to make the blocks before the sew day and just construct the quilt tops on the sew day.  We used a variety of different patterns.  This one was one of the easypatterns- The Jelly Maker's Cabin.
